For 28 years, the St. John's International Women's Film Festival has been dedicated to supporting, screening and celebrating films made by women, for everyone.

Our Festival celebrates women working in the global film, television and interactive industry. The annual five-day festival presents an innovative program of international documentaries, short films, and feature works every October in St. John’s, Newfoundland & Labrador.

Access exceptional training, filmmaker-focused networking, and business development opportunities through our unique programs including the [Interactive] Film Industry Forum,  [Interactive] Incubator Project, RBC Michelle Jackson Emerging Filmmaker Award and others.

We showcase the local film and interactive community nationally and internationally through year-round events and community partnerships, all open to the general public. Our Festival is one of the province’s largest and most anticipated cultural events of the year.
