Now in its 17th year, our FRAMED Film Education Series offers hands-on, high-quality professional filmmaking camps to encourage, support and train people in the craft and business of filmmaking.

Led by professional filmmakers, the standard five-day camp starts on day one with the basics, explaining the structure and inner workings of a film set, paired with a gear workshop and safety. We shoot our film on days two and three, learn how to edit days four and five and we wrap the week by watching a rough cut of our short film!

Our FRAMED camps are geared toward older youth and adults, and are flexible in order to work with our partners and participants. Our camps have created documentaries, animations, dramas, comedies and even horror films all over Newfoundland and Labrador, including FRAMED Nunatsiavut and our annual FRAMED West camp in Corner Brook.

The focus of these camps is to give participants the tools, confidence and support to share their own stories through film.

All FRAMED films premiere on the big screen at the annual St. John's International Women's Film Festival in October. All FRAMED participants are invited to join us, celebrating their film success with filmmakers from all over the world. After the Festival we post these films on our YouTube Channel for everyone to watch and easily share.
